Raise $2500 by 1/1!
RAISED SO FAR: $680
According to this recent NY Times article, Off Off Broadway was recognized for its positive economic impact in NYC, but 92% of labor at small theatre organizations (budgets under $100,000) is performed by unsalaried volunteers.
For the second year in a row, we've been able to cover stipends for every artist involved in our shows! For the 4th year in a row… we've run out of money to pay ourselves! (We could just take the loss on the chin, but we'd be reinforcing industry practices we're working toward changing internally!) Your donation is tax-deductible, just click the "Make a donation" link!
We're finally paying ourselves! $1000 goes toward stipends for our admin staff. Based on our annual budget (<$10,000) and the rates we've paid our 2019 artists, $1000 covers stipends for our team. It may not seem much to big budget companies, but it's a big step in the right direction for a small team like ours!
Exactly that! We're looking to replace $1500 in expenses paid directly out of pocket! We've all been there, artists coming out of pocket for things here and there for a project. Well... those things "here and there" really add up by the end of the year!
